Phra Rod Meree is a 1981 Thai fantasy film based on the Thai folklore myth, The Twelve Sisters. The story revolves around twelve girls who are abandoned by their parents and later rescued by an ogress in disguise. The film follows the journey of Phra Rodasan (Phra Rod), the only surviving son of the twelve sisters, as he goes on a quest to the ogre kingdom to heal his mother. Directed by Sompote Sands, the film is considered one of the most successful Thai feature films ever made in Thailand.
