Dragon Head is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Minetaro Mochizuki. The story follows Teru Aoki, the main protagonist, who is riding a train to Tokyo when a powerful earthquake derails the train and traps him in a tunnel with rubble. He wakes up to find that all of his teachers and classmates have died in the crash. As he navigates the wreckage, he encounters other survivors and faces various challenges, including deranged individuals and a post-apocalyptic landscape. Dragon Head delves into themes of fear, survival, and the dark side of human nature. The series won the 21st Kodansha Manga Award in 1997.
