Boys Over Flowers is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yoko Kamio. The story follows Tsukushi Makino, a girl from a middle-class family who attends the elite Eitoku Academy, where she encounters the F4, a group of four boys from wealthy families who bully anyone in their way. The series was serialized from 1992 to 2004 and has been adapted into various mediums, including live-action series and films. It has sold over 61 million copies and is considered one of the best-selling shōjo manga of all time. In addition, a Taiwanese boy band called F4, consisting of the cast members from the 2001 Taiwanese adaptation of the series, gained popularity.
