Black Magic is a cyberpunk manga written and illustrated by Masamune Shirow. It was first published in 1983 and later adapted into an OVA in 1987. The story follows Sybel, a journalist, as she tries to save a young girl from an out-of-control military android. The androids, M-66, are sent to kill the girl, but with the help of the Major and his SpecOps Forces, Sybel and the girl fight to stay alive. In the end, they are rescued by the military and the remains of the M-66 are recovered. The story received positive reviews for its artwork and action sequences.
