All You Need Is Kill is a science fiction light novel by Hiroshi Sakurazaka. The story follows a soldier named Keiji Kiriya who is caught in a time loop after dying in a battle with extraterrestrials. Keiji must improve his fighting skills to break free from the loop. The novel was well-received and inspired a manga adaptation as well as a film titled Edge of Tomorrow. The manga and film have some differences from the original novel. All You Need Is Kill was nominated for the Best Japanese Long Work category at the 36th Seiun Awards.
